I recently sorted out my misfire. Two cylinders - fair bet it was DIS pack. Wrong. DIS for one cylinder and a faulty No5 cylinder plug lead.

Flushed with the excitement of being mobile, again went down to the big city (in this case Malaga). On cruise on the motorway, marvelous, then it died.......................... Recognised the problem instantly. Rev counter and engine still working but cruise had gone because the "ABS ECU" has gone faulty! ABS light on, no mileometer and thus no cruise control.

Second one to go on the car! Last time I changed it was three years ago. It is a great life if you don't weaken. At least it worked most of the way back.

Varche, I really admire your dogged determination with this car!!

but you really should get a diesel

mine has just developed its first major fault since being here, damned crankshaft pulley oilseal has decided it doesn't like the dust on the track!! now the car leaves its mark wherever i park it!!!! and the seal is a whole £7.49p

I really must get on with finding a replacement car!!!!

No an Omega isn't just for Christmas. You also have to look after them through the bad times (last 10 years).
