Cannot understand fitting the ford lump in place of an omega engine. the v6 isn't that big once all the intake is removed.

I'm guessing the highlighted part is the reason - I don't think this engine is going in a road car.. more like banger racing with a 'better the devil you know' approach..

As long as the antique doesn't blow a head gasket on the way from the pit!

Got it in one!!!  Stick with something that is tried and tested!!
Always willing to try a vauxhall v6, but has one ever been converted to carbs?  I know we can run them on injection but there are far too many wires!!!

The vauxhall v6 is about the same size as the ford V6,
in fact Im taking out a ford to put a mv6 engine in my scimitar.

138 bhp v 210 bhp better mpg etc.
