punto auto problem

anyone come across problem like this. Punto auto 2001 cold start problem. 1at start gives impession of flat battery. its not though even with starter pack and jump leads connected it stay the same. I saupected earth problem so connected an extra jump lead fron engine still no joy. Lead from battery to starter was warm. Any ideas please.

If a lead is getting warm it's a clue. There's some resistance there. Probably the crimp at the connector at one end or the other.
