Hi all i would like to say a public thank you to Elite Pete for doing the cam cover gaskets and breathers on my 3.2 elite. It’s very pleasing to know that you can come on a forum as good as this that has members that are willing to travel and do a 1st class repair job on your car at a very good price. I would highly recommend Pete if you need any work done on your car, i certainly will use him for other jobs i need doing once again thanks Pete

People do advise to do so, but it's only from a labour point of view if you're paying someone else to do it, but there's no other reason. On a four pot, if the water pump fails in that the bearings are really fubar'd then you run the risk of the cam belt jumping teeth.
