Interesting that they had self levelling rears suspension. Good idea I guess with all the kit they used to carry in the boot.

Very interesting, thanks for that.

Collected brochures like mad in the 90s, NEVER saw a plod-mega brochure, though.

Any ideas of the prices that would have gone with these?

I know that Vx were letting the Police have Senators for less than £9k in '92/3, so wouldn't have expected a much higher price than that for the Omega

and no mention of LSD, either. I'm beginning to suspect the number of Police cars actually fitted with LSD was very small. I have three and none of them have LSD.

It is interesting that the brochure states that the V6 is fitted with an oil/water heat exchanger for rapid warm up.
Does this mean that the oil cooler is actually an oil warmer, or does the oil warm the coolant :-?

A bit of both. The oil will generally take a lot longer than the coolant to reach normal temperature, so during this phase the cooler is warming the oil.

I'll mention that next time there is a "can I mount the oil cooler externally" thread. :)

I notice that the engine 'casings' are made from recycled materials. That will include the cam covers then.Made from carrier bags and other assorted crap, no wonder they leak ;D
