I just drove my daughter's TF about 15 miles, and that is far enough. Noisy, too firm, no room for me at 6'4". She can keep it!

Edit, Oh yes, and a manual box. Aaaarggghhh!

Yup, wife worked for a garage at one time and brought one home one night , went out to have a play as you would but after a few miles came back with it it was awful, not a nice car at all. but some seem to like them.

Showing your age a bit aren't you? It's a sportscar, not a luxo-barge, you're supposed to hear the engine less than a foot away from your left ear and not have a pillowy ride.  Besides, I would imagine there are plenty of people who don't like Omegas, doesn't make them bad cars though. 

Probably the worst thing about the TF is the interior and its Rover partsbin heritage of the thing down to the lack of money for doing a proper job.  The driving position is simply too high and the switchgear ain't very pretty.  Add to that the very cosy nature of being inside, with virtually no shoulder room and for almost anyone it can feel a bit tight.  But driving-wise they're fun, the change to springs and shocks makes them more direct than the old hydragas version and they point and squirt nicely.

Horses for courses as my old man would always say and i have to agree im a shade under 6ft and borrowed a TF from a friend to compare it to my MGB roadster. Didn't like it one bit to cramped and my spikey hair cauhgt the inside of the roof

I'm under six feet myself and find them a bit cosy too, same with the original MX-5.

Made me smile when you mentioned hairstyle and MG TF in the same sentence.  I do have a small urge to get some scissors out myself whenever I steer a little MG.

I had an early vvc version and it was rubbish bits fell of all the time and i lost a fortune on it

Well. I wasn't actually comparing, just pointing out that anything will feel naff after an Omega.
