Saw some Holden/Ford epic yesterday - much more exciting than Formula terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired.
The commentators are quite amusing too!

..........oh, like touring cars used to be after the grand prix in the late 80's?

Always used to love getting to the front at Silverstone when the F1 had finished and Touring Cars started - that was really good to see!

Competition/racing aside, there is no finer engine note. :-* :-*

I walked the Adelaide circuit during a visit to see relatives who live in the suburbs there

Lovely lovely place

Did you notice the vast range and array of sponsers decals on the cars ?
There was sponsers from Anti virus sofware to garden sheds to cement mixers and everything in between.
I laughed as on one of the commercial  breaks there was an ad for the BTTC opener next weekend and they showed a 3 series with a pathetically poor " Scalextric " across the door  ;D
Great racing and dare I say better than F1 and WRC both of which I endured over the same weekend .
Brilliant   :y

V8 Supercars is Oz is a tribal thing much like football is in the UK, if say your family support Man U and you want to support City you will be disowned.

In Oz you are either Red (Holden) or Blue (Ford) if you are a car fan

Someday we are going to do Bathurst but it will be a not stop two week tour and if this year is anything like the closeing races last year it will edge of your set TV

If no one has seen V8 Supercars and is wondering what all the fuss is about check this clip from last years Gold Coast Race
