Im back on the hunt for an Omega.
Just come across this car. Is the VSi system any good? Has anyone actually seen the car yet?
What sort of money do people think its worth then?
Any good gen much appreciated chaps :)

I'm assuming it's a Prins VSi system, which is one of the best if fitted correctly ;) :y

It's not on the LPG database so gives a little room for negotiation, plus all the usuals... I'd probably pitch in at around £3k and go from there ;)

Not on the data base? Tell me more please. Does it mean its not registered as lpg?
Was going to start at 3k if it was a clean one. Can't see it till early May tho. So will just have to wait and see.

Yep, although that doesn't mean anything as the database is very slow to get updated with cars that are already converted ::) ::) If you have a cert or the V5 says Petrol/LPG it's free to get it added though ;) ;)

Is this VIS system better than the Teylo one? Are parts easy to get hold of and can the software be mapped easily?

Sorry... Missed this last night!

The Prins system is one of the best on the market, if it's fitted properly! Unfortunately it is very hard to get anything other than service parts for it as they only sell within the industry and, AFAIK, getting hold of the software for it is nigh on impossible :( :(

But... Like I said, if it's been fitted properly it is one of the best systems. It's a mid-high end kit instead of the budget kit we fit from Teilo :y Not that there's anything wrong with the budget kits... They do the job  :y And now that we've managed to get the right combination of components, does the job very well... Ask TB about the conversion we've just done on his Elite :y

No worries.... Not seen it and don't intend to as I may fall in love and want to drive it away ::) ::)

All I can do is offer my opinion, which I have done :y But if I had the was willing to spend the money at the moment it would be on the short list ;) ;)

Been to see the car today.
Needs rear panel and tailgate spraying due to corrosion :( . Needs both wishbones doing and a full geo.
Inside needs a good tidy up(bck of front seats coming off????)
Body quite good.
Needs a service( no surprise there)

But my biggest bone is the fact it had NO GAS in it ffs >:( .
He would only drop £500. Not of enough discount for me.

Would he not stick some LPG in to try it ::) ::)

If he'd only drop £500 for all that then it's probably best to walk away ;) ;)
