Omega going off road
« on: 13 May 2011, 20:28:39 »

Take ownership of a new car on Wednesday (Diesel Mondeo) i know its not as comfy as the omega but 50-55MPG when i average 1000 miles a week it has to be done :y

Wish I'd converted the Omega to LPG when i first got it but as the mondeo is coming to me FOC looks like the barge will have to sit it out for a while, as insuring two cars and swmbos is going to get a bit silly :'(

It will at least give me time to ~

Change the drivers side front wheel bearing
Put new discs and pads on the front
Do the cambelt and waterpump
Full service and clean all the breathers
Stick four new boots on it

Then i can decide what i want to do with it would really like to keep her and shes to good to break but all the so called Home fleet policies want me to have at least 3 cars if its just in my name r four if its in both names :-/

have you tried Tradex? I've got three cars (could have 4) and 2 drivers on their Homefleet, and was around £750

Yeah that's who I called first Andy and they said three cars for one driver or four if theres two of us might be winning a car this weekend from a friend who doesn't use one of his ;) just to see if it makes a difference as i really would like to keep the Mig on the road even if i only use it on my odd day off :'(
