Why didn't you uncouple once you finished fuelling  :-/. Strikes me as daft not to... ...you wouldn't leave the petrol pump in your filler when you went to pay  :-/

I was distracted and forgot

Don't use it anymore as it cannot fill a tank

Surely, that point when you release the dead mans handle, you must think the next task is to remove the hose  :-/

Which is a walk around the barrier towards the office.

Yes it happens more there than a normal filling station
