noise from gas tank
« on: 14 August 2011, 16:53:21 »

My lpg tank has started to make a whooosh noise when i accelerate on gas. It is probably getting low on gas, as  have done 270 miles since refill. Anyone else had this?

All sorted. Tank angle slightly incorrect, allowing 6l overfill. When getting low, float is tapping inside of tank. NOT a leak, neither would there be one, following thorough inspection at time of fittting, and after use.

Should have known that would get dragged up ::) ::)

The filler pipe was later confirmed to be leaking and, TBH, after 3 weeks of owning the vehicle I'm amazed he hadn't managed to find out that it wasn't normal to get any LPG smell inside the vehicle :-X :-X
