Rover 25 Speedo Wiring
« on: 13 August 2011, 01:57:16 »

My better halfs 25 had to have a new gear box after the guyfitting the new clutch whacked a hole in the removing the bent clutch arm (Long story)

In the process itseems the speedo transponder wiring got damaged, so he cut it off and told her to gat another from a scrappy. (Muppet)  Although she has been told it has been fixed, it still does not work.

Does any one have access to a wiring diagram for one of these, or how to actually test the wiring to find the fault.

Be aware that there might be more than one transponder type for your car, normally denoted by the colour of the cog if it is a mechanically driven one.
If it's an induction type transponder, I would expect them to be the same (although don't hold me to that).
