bought some parts
« on: 30 August 2011, 11:37:57 »

Hi all, well i went off to Opel to get me my cambelt and waterpump today, ithough i'd just bite the bullet and get them there while i was ordering my glovebox handle! so i started by asking how much and came the printout, cambelt €150 i thought o.k then waterpump €140!! and that's without it's o-ring which cost another €4!! so i left all that and bought the glovebox handle €14 and oil filter €6 and proceeded to my local motor factors, got a gates kit for €120 and a waterpump for€36 it's an Italian one made by Graf and comes with a new o-ring!!! so all in all half price compared to Opel, now i know why they are called the stealers. by the way do i need to bleed the cooling system after replacing the water pump or will just a refill do?

pretty much self bleeding, give the top hoses a good squeeze when re-filling. after its been run up to temp it may want topping up when cooled down. :y

oops, just noticed its 4 pot. maybe diff from v6. ::)
