Seems he does quite a range of stuff.  Including some extreme style body kits.

Would they be worth approaching as a group/forum for some form of discount should any members ever want something,  I have looked for styling and tuning info for the Miggy for quite a while now and never stumbled accross them.

I bought a brand new 1.8 GTE just before they went to the teardrop shape.

Never again.

It was one of the models built during the German steel strike.  2 A4 pages full of faults with it in the 8 months I ownded it.  The wiring loom accross the bulk even melted and nearly caught fire whilst trying to start in a petrol station one day (2500 mile on the clock.)

Quick car, handled ok. too hard/harsh a drive and put me off front wheel drive for life.

Replaced it with a Sylvia Turbo (Brand new) having done 8000 miles in 8 months I chopped it in the GTE aginst the Sylvia and got £6500 for it.

With the cash discount I got on the GTE I only paid £6520.20 for, so 8 months of motoring for only £20.20 plus fuel.   :y :y :y :y

The Sylvia was in a different league and I honestly thought I would never have annother Vauxhall ever again.

I am so glad I changed my my mind

I have since had a 1200 Opel Kadett runabout, a 3 door Viva with M+S tyres on BMW 320 rims for the heavy snows in the late 80's and wouldnt have been with out either of them.

My last four cars have been Carlton CDi, Carlton Diplomat, Current Cars are 2.5 GLS and 3.0 Elite Miggy Saloons.

Am I gald I changed my mind and returned the Vauxhall.

Very nice car, i did not go the route of fast Vauxhalls unless you call a Viva HA trying to get rid of it's rust fast. :-[

Was more into Capri 3 Litre MK2. and Ford Escort MK2 with 1.6 litre engine in, well it was in the 70's. :o :o

You can still surprise the boy racer with the Dad cruiser though. ;D ;D ;D

I had a Vx Chevette 2300 HSE, that was fun! After that I had a Lotus Talbot Sunbeam which was more of a complete car and a lot more useable when driving it very, very fast.

Lovely Omega but I honestly dont get why people say the Astra GTE doesnt handle?

I have had five of them all 16 valvers and pretty much anihilated everything on track with them, great cars that DO handle you just need to know how to drive them, people go barrelling into a corner expecting it to turn at high speed, it wont, it will understeer like a bitch unlees you transfer the weight to the front Ie dip touch the brakes THEN nail it into the corner and it will go round, in all the years ive owned them ive only ever got bitten once and that was my own fault, over zealous onto an icy roundabout chasing a civic type R and lost it.

Great cars I would have another like a shot if I could just find one that hasnt rotted away or the owner didnt want extortionate money for it.

Sorry for the rant but thats one subject that really gets my goat lol
