I will add that although i normally swear by auto`s a few bits of rapid driving recently in my MV6 auto had me realising how much better it would have been in a manual and at times i was having to back off as i didn`t have the control and there is a big difference when you find the engine revs are suddenly at 3500 when you wanted 5500 and full drive.

Use the "s" button and also shift the gears manually :y :y :y

Generally, for most twisty roads sticking it in 2 will have the desired effect :y :y :y

And (Relatively) cheap with LPG :y :y :y

If anything, that's the biggest down side of it... You don't really worry about running costs ::) ::)

Which must show how good it is on a cruise, as over the last 4000+ miles, my (accurate) CID is claiming 24.2mpg

Correction - buy an Omega with a manual box.  Get 38mpg easily out of my 3.2 manual ;)

I can easily see that on a run from my auto, assuming I drive very gently and stick below speed limits  ;) ;) But driving enthusiastically I agree with TB... I reset the Trip Computer every time I fill with LPG and my average is always around 24.4 MPG for my normal commute/town driving which, considering my Instant Consumption spends a lot of time reading 7.1 MPG  ::) :-[ is very impressive.

Normally when I go visiting and on a decent run I see an Average of around 31-33 MPG depending how enthusiastic I'm being :y :y
