After weeks of anguish, I have finally decided that I need a cheaper-to-run car and should be collecting a Vectra C 2.2 diesel this weekend. I have been putting this day off for a couple of months, and have to say that I've thoroughly enjoyed every mile in this car - I really don't wanna sell, but sometimes other things are more important than driving the car you really want.
Head - 1 Heart - 0.
Anyway, enough of all the crying - it means the MV6 will shortly be up for sale to some lucky buyer!
Basics:2001 Facelift MV6 estate, solid black with the silver trim interior, cloth MV6 seats.
Lots of service history (except the work that Darth Loo Knee did, but as anyone who's made use of his services will testify, he don't mess about and does top notch work with GENUINE GM parts)
Tax - 6 months.
MOT - mid April
146K miles
Mainly clean and tidy, but some scratches to bodywork and rear bumper has been scuffed on both sides - pigging carpark dodgems!
Unique front grille, original included.
Items fitted since I bought the car last October: Rear to front fuel feed pipe.
Set of three flat blade wipers.
(MOT) Offside rear brake pipe.
(MOT) Nearside front to rear brake pipe.
(MOT) Offside front to rear brake pipe.
(MOT)Headlight aim - both.
(MOT)New rear indicator bulbs.
4 Kumho tyres with shedloads of tread still to use.
Front wishbones (tracking does need doing).
Cam cover gaskets and breather work done at 144K miles by Mr. Darth Loo Knee, along with plugs, filters and fluids.
3.2 cat-back exhaust in March. This has the twin tailpipes, and was supplied (slightly used) by an OOF member, still bearing the GM stickers.
Self-made unique front grille!
I would like to think that I've looked after it and I think Darth would agree that it's although not a minter to look at, it's a very good car.
I will sell for a little less if I don't get round to having the tracking done (very busy boy, if I wasn't so busy, it would have been done by now!) or the paint machine polished.
Everything works as it should - AC, TC, ABS, all electrics, stereo system (even the tape player), electric uppy-downy seat switches on the front.
Yes, there are some stonechips and scratches, but it is 9 years old with the mileage.
OIRO £1650.
