Dual-fuel question
« on: 06 August 2007, 10:32:59 »

I am looking at importing a car from Europe for the wife. She is after a very small dual-fuel vehicle so that it is good around town and exempt from Congestion Charging.

Problem is that very small cars have small boots, so I was thinking that if I get a Natural Gas vehicle as opposed to LPG, it should be fairly easy to simply remove the gas bottle and store it when the full size of the is needed. Obviously removing an LPG tank is not practical.

Does anyone know if I am correct in my assumption? Can I simply remove the gas bottle and drive the vehicle normally albeit on petrol?

Incidentally, it seems that in the UK LPG is more common than Natural Gas, but in Europe it is the other way around for some reason.
