LOL, it is :). If I were going to be picky, I'd say it's missing around 4 cylinders :). (if it had these it'd be my dream Holden Commodore)
Except, Commodore is a different chassis I found out today, about 6" wider apparently...

You're right, they started with the Opel design as a basis, then strengthened it, very little underneath is interchangeable, even though it looks similar. The VE commodore (basis for the VXR8) is a completely new, all Holden platform :).

Hi James.  Good to see you back again.  Nice plate on the car.  Why get shot? is it worth a lot?
Don't forget to get an OOF car sticker from Timbuk and I'll keep my eyes open for you around town mate.
