Shin breakers bolted on the back.  Not only a pain in the arse, but also a giveaway that their owners tow mobile roadblocks in front of me  >:(

Off topic, but this comment reminded me of somthing....

Just came back from Italy, and while driving to the airport I was surprised to see way ahead of me on the inner lane of the three-lane Autostrada a large square roadwork sign, diagonal-yellow-and-red, with a big blue circle in the middle and an arrow pointing down and to the left. Now since I was in the continent that meant that the arrow was pointing at the central reservation... no way I could pass the roadwork sign from that side as there was no gap between the sign and the barrier!

As I continued driving I noticed I wasn't actually getting any nearer to the roadworks sign... and then when approaching a bend I realised that this was a motorway maintenance pick-up truck towing a huge mobile roadwork sign and travelling at very fast speed - overtaking two lanes of traffic....

You can expect anything in Italy  ;D

::)Worst car ever for rainwater running in off the roof through drivers window. My right shoulder and the doorcard get drenched. Polishing all the time adds to the problem and i can't drive with the window completly shut.
No comments about my driving, windows shut or otherwise thankyou. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit!!! ;D
Also when reversing the whole rear end is a blind spot.

I have the cure to all these complaints....

Go drive a VW passat (diesel of course) for thousands of bl**dy miles.
Then you will forgive an Omega anything!  ;D

It may be annoying at times, but when you compare against what is on offer today, it is such a good car!

yes thats true about the vw passat laidback. i had a loan of my my mates 19 tdi i drove it for a week and on the whole it was ......nice....ok....fine. but when i got back in my omega.  effortless... class.... quiet... smooth... power...comfort...sex appeal...ect. and all for five grand less than he paid for a car that two weeks ago failed its mot on knackered front wishbones shockies and rotting brake pipes all coming to £550 quid. then theres my other mate malkie. he paid £7500 for a 5 series bmw 6 months later the cylinder head cracked £800 quid for a recon head and labour charges on top of that. well 14 months later and now that ones cracked. after three years of owning my omega its value now is between £800- £1000 and i originally paid £1500 for it so whos the mug not me...

I'd hazard a guess that Audis may be the best bet in this department. I sold one about a year ago, it was a 1994 model that had enough miles to go to the moon and back, wasn't really looked after other than routine servicing (just a workhorse), and it didn't have a bit of rust on it. I've just fixed a load of rust on the doors of my Omega, although I'm sure it'll be back before long. Mine seems to be better than most, but there's still little bits of rust all over the place. The rustproofing at least is very poor quality on these cars -- it's probably the worst car I've owned in that respect.

The weather in blighty is also very poor quality. That's your culprit!  ::)

Rattly door pins are a git. Rear tyre wear is little heavy!?!
