Thanks for all the info guys.
But how can I tell if my car has self levelling suspension and what is the significance of having Bose Sound which I have? Also what is LSD?
Sorry if these are stupid questions but I am totally new to Vauxhalls.
I was intending to have the cambelt done by Crownhill Vauxhall in Milton Keynes but I am not so sure now after those comments.
Can anyone recommend a reliable garage in Milton Keynes?
Last question. Is the performance of an MV6 better than an Elite?

Only Elites have the self levelling suspension and Bose as standard, MV6 does not have these.

Self levelling suspension pumps up the rear shocks to keep car level no matter of loading of car.

Bose is a huge improvement on standard audio system, and for a factory fit system, is one of the better you'll find until you get to the big audio options on Mercs/Audis etc...

LSD is Limited Slip Differential - mechanically stops one wheel wheelspinning (until traction control which uses combination of brake and engine management to stop a wheel whellspinning)

The Elite and MV6 are mechanically identical other than the suspension, so will have same performance i.e. engine output,  0-60, and top speed.

In theory a standard MV6 might be a touch quicker due to it being lighter - less gadgets than the Elite, such as sunroof, rear blind, heated rear seats, etc - but I am not sure how noticeable this will be in real life.

The MV6 will obviously be better around bends due to its lowered and stiffer suspension, but you need to take extra care when negotiating speed humps…

Also as mentioned before they both have the same wheel and tyre size (234x45 R17 tyre on 7.5Jx17 wheel) though the actual design of the 5-spoke wheel is different.

LSD may allow the power to go down a bit better, esp on manual (LSD on fitted to manual as standard).
