I learned not to be very impressed with my local Vauxhall dealers.

Can anyone recommend any good ones up North ?
Or anywhere for that matter?

To clarify the earlier posts...

Cruise can be retro fitted to any Omega, it makes no difference if facelift or prefacelift.

On 2.2, 2.6, 3.2 petrol models, a 4 wire cruise indicator stalk (Part 9181011 - £32) is required, and possibly clutch switch (£10 ish) if manual (some have them, some don't). The Engine ECU needs to be enabled - some dealers charge standard £45, some want a lot more.  My charge is £35 for members with 50+ post rating here...

On 2.5TD BMW diesel, a 2 wire cruise stalk is required. Job done.

On 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 petrols, an ECU/Actuator, throttle cable, 4 wire cruise stalk (smae part as 2.2,2.6,3.2), a 4 pin brake switch and a clutch switch if manual. No Tech 2 required. Parts should be around £30 - £40 from breaker

Are the two cruise control switches at the end of the indicator stalk labelled 'S' and 'R' ?

The S & R buttons should be on the wiper stalk and are for the MID/TID. The cruise buttons are on the indicator stalk and should be labelled + - and 0 I think they are only two switches the + & - is like a rocker switch and is the top one.
