Oh dear, sounds like a poorly Omega. :(

2 cylinders out is the DIS pack most likely.

Hairy exhaust means a visit to Vx for a shiny new back box, and I suspect a pair of centre sections.

This is not going to be cheap...
Timbuk will check the error codes in the morning.  He is convinced it is 2 cylinders down, not one.  The DIS is Horizontal with a square plug.  Remeber the coolant hose from the oil cooler just went last week and soaked the DIS.

He has new center sections, will get cheap rear box if req'd.  Pre-facelift 2.5 Estate.
Can confirm, he was round this morning, new centre sections, sounds OK on tick-over, rough when he revs it & stong smell of petrol...........

Get the back box done first. If the exhaust is partially blocked I suspect the lambda sensors will be providing duff data to the ECU and could be causing all the other problems.

Didn't know that

coolant hoses and hbv failure often causes dispack issues if theres a soaking

Yes, I knew that. Didn't know that Timbuks had had a soaking.

Nope, had a good look yesterday morning to see if i could decide which one it was, really didn't want to get stuck in Cov with no motor. Does look like the one in the pic already posted, but i guess they all do :-/ Mounted horizontally with square plug on right hand side looking from above, anyone got anymore pics of the others?

I think there was only 1 horizontal type, with other 2 being verticlly mounted.  The spare one I have is vertical one...

Driving with DIS out could kill the cats with neat petrol
