I've heard those 3 beeps coming from my car now and then when turned off........... so where is the back up battery and how do i change it.
Also what type of battery is this and is it a VX part only?

P.S. just in case mine is a 2.6cd, so is it the same as a 2.2

i have to tackle this myself next week.

All facelift meggas are the same for the backup alarm battery.

However its not easy to replace, its under the scuttle drain on the drivers side *i think*

But its not a simple job to change the batterys, the offical line from Vx is that its a sealed unit and the whole thing must be replaced

But it can be taken apart, and the battery replaced. But the battery is odd, can't remember its type someone here will confirm.

I am tempted just to disconnect mine
