brake noises
« on: 14 January 2007, 16:58:27 »

Does anyone get the dreaded brake noise with there car that sounds like a dry joint moving, bit difficult to explain, but happens when slow braking to a stop, I'm hoping it's just the fact that the car is an Automatic and is still trying to creep when the brakes are only lightly applied, causing  a  noise as the disc slips between the pads, bloody annoying!
what do you think?

Mine does a lovely deep groan/graunch noise when sat still in Drive with too light pressure on the brakes.

Use the handbrake or stick your foot further towards the floor! [smiley=grin.gif]

Mine's always done it. Had new pads and discs, which improved it, but it still does it. Never worried me, just adjusted my driving style to compensate.
