The EGR itself is £179 at trade from Vauxhall. (or at least, that's what i just paid for one)    labour is less than half an hour....


alternatively you could try getting one from a scrappy or used parts dealer./.


I'm told you can also simply blank off the connection point with a DIY fabricated metal plate and gasket....   at least to see if this makes any difference to how the thing runs...   but I've never tried this.....   my policy being that if it breaks, I try and get a new one fitted rather than dick about with bodge jobs and string.....

that said...  sometimes that could mean spending more than the car is worth......  at which point, the used part dealers become much more attractive options.
