    any idea to stop the alarm from keep going off
       replace battery in key fob and had main battery
tested ok

Yes, and also, if you sometimes hear four faint beeps from the engine compartment then it is definitely the NiCd batteries in the sounder that need replacing.

Other than that check all the door switches and mainly the under-bonnet switch - if it is too short it may trigger the alarm.

thanks
   what sort of batteries does it take without taking it off  
when first got car nothing happened this has just recently
started....
     ive had 2 disconnect the battery tonight as im at work at 4 and dont want to wake neighbours
   wont be happy    mick

The are specialist batteries, perhaps someone can dig out the supplier.

If anyone near you has a Tech2 (not sure if cheapo one can read alarm codes) that can tell you why its gone off...

wiring tonight to get the neighbours off my back
      i shall have to try and get a another one from somewhere
