My local supplier does some pattern leads, they fit well and I've used them very sucesfully. They cost £40, which is worthwhile if you don't want to spend the earth, I could always get you a set and send them on.

Not sure what VX charge

How do you want me to pay you James?
 A cheque or Paypal?

If buying new leads I really do recommend the Magnecors. At around £115 for the 8.0mm leads they are both cheaper and better than Vx ones.

I have used them and they are excellent (really should not have left them on the car I sold!!) :)

As Dave says, magnecor leads are excellent if you can afford them...

If you can, then go for them,

I'm always guilty of using the ones I mentioned above though  ::) and they always returned decent performance with no missing.

Up to you mate!

I personally went with the 8mm magnecors (blue ones), work well and more to the point have clips on each lead to aid removal (rather than the Vx ones which have one for the lot)

However, compatible ones from autovaux cost £89.75 all in last June. One side identical to Vx, the other slightly different - but still good quality and no problems with them whatsoever ...

Don't want this to sound too stupid but these Magnecors Leads do they sell them at most car accessory shops or do i need to get them from somewhere else? ::) Where did you get yours from? :y

It depends on the price really but I dont think .5 of a mm will make that much difference :D

from memory the 8mm ones (same as I have) are blue and DO fit into the recesses on the cam covers as OEM leads do. The 8.5mm ones are red and might not fit ... or at least that's what I remember reading on the magnecor site at the time ...

Go with the 8mm blue ones. Fit perfectly and are cheaper.

I got mine off Mike at Mtek too. Good price and damn quick delivery. :)
