My misses loves the Omega too.  I guess the length takes a bit of getting used to but if she can get over that then the manouverability is much better than many small (FWD) cars for parking etc.

10 meter truning circle is the winner on the Omega....thats better than a Fiesta.....my other half wont drive small cars anymore.....she likes the smoothness, quiet and power of the Barge....

well its a couple of weeks on and the missus still does not drive the omega, she is clearly not feeling the love for the car that i do :'(

No doubt this fiasco will end in my owning of a small french car or worse, maybe a diesel something or other. Anyways im going to sell the car and will put a note in the 2nd hand section so you chaps can have a look before i stick it the paper.

I mainly wanted to dig up this old thread to thank the previous posters who put my mind at rest about my concerns of mayo in the filler, but it looks like i wont be back to these forums untill i manage change my missus :D

thanks guys
Dave

That'd be fine by me!  ;) I drive the Omega - she drives her Astra.

Hmmm.  Make sure her life insurance is paid up, buy her a Ka, then sit back and wait.  There might be enough money to get a new missus and a 3.0 Elite  ;D

My wife loves treavelling in the omega (she actually told me she'd be upset if I got rid of it) but she would never drive it even though shes a yank and obviously used to ma'hoosive cars.

So I got her a 214 banger and some life insurance  :D
