I have been given best part of next week off by my lovely boss, what better than to crack on with my Elite project

I have just bought the above HG parts etc... presumably they are OK?

Will the rocker gaskets in this set be OK, or will I need to get additional GM ones?

Going to VX tomorrow, to get the sealant etc.

Anything else I might need?

What sealant to I need, to re-seal the oil cooler plate?

Might have this done by the end of next weekend, if I'm lucky

I would consider GM rocker gaskets...

Get Vx exhaust manifold gaskets to....the composite ones are crap.....

You also need the 4 metal oil cooler pipe to cooler washers....

The sealent for the oil cooler is the grey cartridge gun stuff......cant remember the part number.


Cam cover gaskets are likely to be shiiiite....

I hope the head bolts are better quality than the ones I got.....grease the washers on them realy well on both faces before fitting...

Vx manifold gaskets are £7.45 ish plus vat, and there are two on each side I think. I have checked prices, just in case........................

No, last time I changed one ( ) there was just the one gasket. Price seems about right though.
