MAF question
« on: 31 March 2007, 10:19:45 »

Can these be cleaned?

I think I may have over oiled my K+N panel filter and before I remove anything can the MAF be cleaned?

Thanks,

Andy.

Marks_DTM advised me that it may be possible to clean the sensor with "keyboard foaming spray" but NOT to touch it. I didn't try it so don't know if it works....

I think denatured alcohol works.  Put some in a small cup and swish it around.

Isopropyl alcohol should be OK - it's used to clean tape heads and other similarly delicate equipment.

Maplin sell it here - but it ain't cheap in aerosol form, personally I'd get a 1 litre can ...
