While having my omega cleaned today one of the cleaners pointed out my drivers side window was not fully closed, on checking there is a gap of about 1/4 inch between the glass and the seal above it,i have tried to close the  window and am unable to,i can see no obstruction anywhere, when pushing down on the glass when the window is half open it will go down about 1/4 of a inch on it's own but will not fully close even if i assist the glass on closing ,the seal is also correctly fitted,it shuts and comes to a halt with a louder clunk than the passenger side, any ideas? maybe something in the window mechanisim?

does sound like an obstacle....but simple thigs first just in case....

ensure theres nothing prohibiting the window, around the runner and seal,  from going up remember there very safety concious and will stop working if they "think" theres something prohibiting ( like small fingers)

Also try the reset ( put both front windows up as far as they can go and press the up button on both windows untill you hear a click...

...but it does sound like something more like a block in the door or with the mechanisim..

Before you do any dismantling try lubricating the runners with a nylon lubrication spay made especially for electric windows (available from motor shops, I have a can from Holts). There may simply be too much resistance triggering the safety cut out.

By the way dont use WD40 as it will attack the rubber seals.

ive just had a look in the haynes manual and found theres a window stop bolt,checked that and there's a gap so it's not that,i have used silicone spray on the door channels (worked when i had a rear window stopping half way up ) and still no joy,the passenger window will not move up and down under pressure,so im guessing there's either a obstruction lower down or maybe the arm /channel which holds the glass in place is loose,getting too dark now to start taking off door cards  so will leave untill tomorrow. cheers for all the replys,will post back tomorrow if i manage to fix it.

Sorted it,undid the two bolts behind the tweeter and opened then closed window and now going all the way up, tightened bolts when window closed and all ok.maybe i will get a bit less wind noise now!
