v6 throttle body

can the restrictive lip inside the throttle body be ground off and smoothed.so as soon as the butterfly opens more air can pass through quicker.seen it done on a vectra tb,just wondered if the omega was the same

anything is possible, but it would be a fiddly job....

Not sure it would gain anything in decent % to justify though...

Whereabouts is the lip?

If it's where the throttle plate meets the bore it will be to ensure good closure of the throttle and removing it may give you an air leak at idle, which will give you all sorts of running problems. I'd be very surprised if there is any power to be gained from removing it so I'd leave well alone, personally.
