Centre Caps?
« on: 13 August 2007, 15:38:20 »

I've just bought these alloys:

But they didn't come with centre caps can anyone point me in the right direction of where I could get some?

May as well get them from the dealers, can't imagine they would be that expensive, you'll also need the little plastic cover for each wheel nut (so 20 in all)

I dont think you necessarily need the wheel nut plastic caps, personal choice i suppose, I put my original nuts on my elite wheels that came with the car on GLS wheels, I bought a set of locking nuts though

you could keep your eyes open for a elite being broken in a scrapyard and see if you can get the centre caps dirt cheap

The ones for the pre face lift Elite 16" s are about £9.50 + vat retail...  try with a TC... should bring 'em down a bit...

Take care that they are genuine VX rims and not simply a similar substitute.

I know that Markie on here got a similar set but the centre cap holes are a VERY slightly differring size - only 1mm or so - but enough so that the caps do not fit tightly and simply fall out......     :-/

Would guess at 'Irmscher' and a VX part number cast into the inside of the rim on the leg area but to be sure, PM Markie and he will advise whats on his.   :y

I've just tried my 16" Elite centre caps on the said 17" which fit perfectly but obviously don't look right.
