Ignition change?
« on: 31 August 2007, 21:58:10 »

If I wanted to change the ignition switch I would also need the ecu for the key. But if It was to go into a 1995 car from a 2000 car would the be ok to do? or is there going to be a problem or any mods?

Please can some one clear this up for me?

Changing ECU's seems a bit extreme - can't you just pop the transponder from the old key into the new one?

I was thinking about changing the key type all together to an uptodate key with the two buttons intergrated on the key. Is this possible to do without changing the ecu or would i need a new ecu to match the key?
