i have a problem with my exhaust its rattling had a look no holes etc but comming from the engine and working back the first joint isent right i know it dosent fit into one another its just like a little lip and a clamp round it tried tighting the clamp but still no joy any ideas on how to fix it or do i need to get new exhaust part if so where to get cheap.

What car?  If you update your profile with car details and ocation, saves asking when you post.....   :y

Is it the cat to mid section flange you refer to?  I simply cleaned the faces up on mine then refitted with new bolts and clamped it up.  Was leaking ever so slightly but soon sealed with carbon and now no longer leaks....

yes the flange its not siting in it right and u can feel the exhaust gases escaping from it.
