2.5 v6 petrol

leaking rocker gasket is it better fitting newcovers or will gasket alone cure oil leak would prefer to spend balance on tidying bodywork

use genuine gaskets and clean the breathers out and that will do the job.

Aftermarket ones go hard after a while and go brittle, not cleaning the breather means the engine is lookng for somewhere to vent....normally the rocker covers

thanks one garage told me best was covers and gaskets car new to me but has 140000 miles on a 2000 w apart from slight miss that i hope is down to oil leak

there was a time when you could only buy the gaskets as part of the cover, they were expensive.
I have heard some garages tell you that the covers warp as they are plastic!!! i am yet to see one that has warped through normal use, most of the time it is because they have used crap gaskets
