After fitting new plugs, I took it for a test run.

It's still got a slight misfire, when the engine is under high load - only on LPG. Under any other conditions it's not noticable, and it pulls up to the red line in every gear on gas, performance is very good.

I'm sure it's ignition related, I guess next step will be new leads. And while I'm in there, new camcover gaskets, because I noticed a very small showing of oil in one of the plug wells...

There is occasionally a small hesitation from a standing start, but I rekon that's also down to this pesky air leak..

Try closing the gap a tiny bit - say 5 thou

Wear some rubber gloves  . It might tell you which if any cylinders have a weak spark. Then again, if one lead is duff they all need changing while you're at it...

Time to chage the plug leads, me thinks!!

I rekon one is breaking down, and is just more noticable on gas due to the extra strain on ignition components..

Well, hopefully that'll be it. It is the time of year when these sort of problems tend to appear.

How's it going on LPG in general? What sort of range are you getting out of that tank?

I filled it up to the top, with 68l.

Since then, I have done 160 miles, and the gauge on the tank is sitting just above the half way mark. So hopefully 320+ miles to a tank, and that's driving it hard.

Working out about 8p/mile driving it hard - on petrol it's closer to 20pp/mile.

Only one thing left after plug leads........

I wouldnt worry about missing from standstill start........mines always done that....floor it from standstill and it feels like its gonna stall.......but it never does and recovers.

Only one thing left after plug leads........
