high revs
« on: 30 November 2007, 07:42:22 »

Last night driving home from my gf i noticed that it was high revving bout 2000 rpms at tickover, it did this all the way home at junctions etc
This morning the same again, drove all the way to work went to park up but then the revs dropped and it stalled!
Ive not done anything to it, i hav'nt had the bonnet up for weeks!a few months ago i cleaned all the breathers, rocker gasket etc etc.
There is no fault codes so what could it be?

Cheers, Lee

Re-check the breathers and Idle valve....it sounds like some more crudd has come away and is gunging the idle valve up again.

Definately breathers and ICV.

They need doing every 6 months to a year.

Don't forget the breather into the inlet manifold
