Noisy Climate control Dash sensor
« on: 09 December 2007, 23:16:37 »

Anyone had a similar problem??

The vent on the top of the centre console which contains the temp sensor fan/spindle for the climate control makes a grating noise. Had the same problem last year and took all in bits and sorted but seems to have come back again.

Anyone come across this and found a permenant solution? So far the volume control on the stereo is doing the job but looks like another console strip is required before the next long journey at chrimbo.

I fit a standard 12V (rated 9-15V) 25mm x 10mm pc style fan from maplins (5 quid).

Requires some minor mods to the fitting but, nothing to hard.
