Confused over headlights
« on: 14 December 2007, 18:53:13 »

As i understand it 97 Omegas did not come with HID's fitted as standard & it is difficult to retro fit as there is no level sensor on suspension arms. My Elite had ribbed headlights  & been upgraded to projectors which is a good improvement. I think TB said if the chassis No. has a V at the end then it is not HID but if its a W then HID's fitted as standard. Went to WIM today & as it was up on ramps, noticed it had a level sensor on the rear driver side suspension arm & it has washers fitted, so is this the norm & can i fit HID's, any advice?

Level sensors for HID are on the FNS and RNS suspension arms.  The sensor on the ROS is for adjustable rear suspension....

HID fitted cars do not have a headlamp level adjuster wheel to the left of the headlamp on/off switch.
