Another heated front seat Q...
« on: 16 December 2007, 22:59:39 »

So 1-4 on the switch.

Set it on 1 and after 10-15mins i have to turn it off........its burning my bum!  :o

Set it on 2 or 3 doesnt make any difference

So how do they work......is there a thermostat in the seat? .....or does the switch just control voltage going to the heater?  :-/

Whats likely to be wrong?

Are both front seat switches the same? Is it possible to swap them over to test each side's circuit/switch?

The switch is nothing more than a contact and a seperate variable resistance that is fed to a controller in the seat base......try another switch.

Mark when you say the controller in the seat base; is this accessible from under the seat itself or does the seat cushion have to be removed? as this could be what's wrong with mine .
