Time and date adjustment and display problem
« on: 30 December 2007, 17:31:08 »

Hi!

I've a 2000, Opel Omega 3000.
I replaced the battery and now the time and date is always 00.00 - 1998.01.01 on the centre display....The most strange is when I drive the time and date is not changing on the display...so I Can't adjust it with the buttons on the top of the display and the values are not changing....
Does anybody experienced a problem like this?
Thanks
Zoli

If you tune the radio to a RDS station, the display should update automatically.  :y

If you have the orginal radio, as said tune in and it will sort itself. If not use the 2 buttons above the MID, press and hold the clock, press the . button to change the value, press the clock button again to move it on

Hi

I have an original radio CCRT 2008, ok I try to use an RDS station and I hope it will fix the problem....
I couldn' t adjust with the buttons (my previous car was an Opel Astra G and there was no problemk with the time adjustment, I've used the buttons, but now it 's not work.
I try this RDS station thing....I search  a station and will it syncronize itself automatically? How many time is this?

Just a few minutes until the station transmits the time signal.  :y

It should do.

The trouble is that not all rado station transmit the time info, most of the independents dont.

The BBC ones for instance do....

I think thats Shortwave, so no RDS :P

As a side note, only mini facelift and later cars have the ability to set time via MID, pre mini facelift (last letter in VIN being R,S,T or V) have to be done manually.
