Any help lads just took the cover of the sparks and they are filled with oil ? working on it now

the first thing i done was cleared the breathers they were full of s--t ,what next ? get a new gaset cover ??  :-/

clean as much out as possible using a rag or syringe or whatever.  and then probably worth replacing the plugs while you're at it.  Don't forget the orings and sealant when your buying the new seals.

I had this work done on mine.  ISTR there is a later - more rigid - type of rocker cover that needs to be replaced as well as a new gasket .. or is that just on the V6?

There is a 'how to' on cam cover gasket replacement and several recent threads about it.
There is a myth that the plastic covers can warp, but the general authoratative opinion is that this is not so given normal usage and treatment. I would be very surprised if you found it necessary to change them. The important thing is to do a very thorough and careful job of gasket replacement and breather cleaning to ensure a complete cure, which will last if you observe the stringent servicing procedures advocated on here. Stretching oil change periods etc. could result in a repeat of this and other problems, but they can be easily avoided.

I removed my plugs and let the oil drain into the pots then when the plugs were replaced i burnt it off, impressed the neighbours

The older covers were only fitted to the Cav/Calibra V6 C25XE.....never the Omega (contary to popular belief).

It will be fine as it will be burnt on the first ignition stroke, do mop most of it out first though because you dont want the entire cylinder full of oil because a fluid will not compress.

Probably best to replace the plugs leads as well. If there was a lot of oil, they'll be well fried.

Can't just replace the plug leads on a 2.2 as they are a part of the diss pack, would have to replace the whole thing.
I had the same problem on mine and the diss pack survived and seems fine after a good clean up
