Valve seat recession
« on: 03 February 2008, 10:53:28 »

Hi, I'm new to the forum and couldn't find any info on this.  My car has an lpg conversion and I've heard a lot of people on another forum I use going on about using flashlube.  Some say it's essential and others aren't as convinced.

Just wanting to know if a flashlube system is advisable for my engine.  Engine is an X20XEV taken from an N-reg Cavalier.  Does this engine suffer from VSR?

Cheers.

I think GM engines don 't generally have problems in this area on LPG unlike Ford. They sell factory dual fuel cars for a start...

Thanks for the lightning speed reply.  Pretty paranoid about this, since I'm on engine number 2 within a year!
