How do I get out of "park" ?
« on: 18 February 2008, 02:53:39 »

Just a quick question.
I have the trans (auto) in park and no battery in the car at the moment.
How can I get it out of park ??

I don't want to reconnect the battery as I have half of the motor apart right now but need to move the car in the morning. I don't want to crawl underneath to disconnect the linkage but if that's what it takes than I will.

Thank you.

Assuming it's the same as this side of the Pond ...... if you lift up the gaitor from around the transmision lever you'll see a yellow lever inside. Flip this lever & you'll be able to move the trnsmission lever.
