any ideas please.
« on: 21 February 2008, 14:06:39 »

hi everyone. bought my elite last month. really love it but got a few little annoying faults.
1. drivers electric seat only has about 2 inches of travel. it is currently all the way back and when i push the switch to move it forward it travels about 2 inches then cuts out. all other functions/ travel are fine.
2. passenger rear window. when lowered all the way, it goes about 1/3 of way up then rolls back. have to inch it up a little at a time. have spoken to someone about it and he said it becaues of lack of use ant told me to lubricate the runners but didnt tell what to lube them with.
Any help please. :) :)

1) Check the runners for obstacles/coins etc as a first step

2) You need a dry lube like PTFE spray.

runners appear to be free of obstacles. bit of the usual fluff and cud prob do with a bit of lube.

Runners may APPEAR clear but often are not. :(

I've had a 10p coin drop out of my pocket and end up vertically jammed between the seat and the seatbelt clip... impossible to see but sufficient to jam the seat in exactly the manner you describe.

The only way I found it was by removing the seat, and that was NOT easy with it stuck almost fully back, once the seat was out and I could look at the problem it took seconds to remove ...
