Might be the air sampling fan not spinning as max hot or cold over-rides the temp sensor. if fan isnt working then the sensor heats up from panel lamps etc and climate panel thinks the cabin is hot.

First though...reset the servos by holding auto and off down together for 5 secs or so until you hear motors whirring, if no better hold a smoking match or cig near the little grill in the centre of the panel, smoke should be drawn in if fan is working.

Assuming you have reset the servos and they are working correctly, how do you go on about checking to see if the sampler fan is working. If it makes no difference with the "smoke test"how do you know if it is or i,snt working corrctly and after that how do you repair or replace it?

Doesn,t the HBV just ensure heat or no heat..not a differential over temperature,so replacing HBV would cure lack of temperature control ??

If it blows hot on Hi, i would say it can't be the HBV thats at fault.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

I've given up smoking so I used a piece of tissue paper  ;)

Should the sampler fan be constantly running and should it sound like a chinook taking off >:( :question

My sampler fan has no impression on tissue/smoke so expect it is goosed..read somewhere that you can get a fan from Maplins and then do some soldering ??
My climate control is either Hot at "hi" or getting cool to cold at 27 or below.
