ive just checked the oil, still level, no loss, dipstick clean and cap nice and clean, but a bit of white smoke still and loss of water which i know is down to tiddley crack in rad. i took off expansion tank last fri and cleaned it, no oil in it, still nice and clean but a bit empty
i need some kind of service plan to make the car run smoothly, there is no service history and its got 64200 on clock. the only thing that comes on is check coolant level

i shall renew some of the parts and log what ive done for future refernce as ive read on here.
 
what do you think is priority next to the rad??

plugs
hbv
plugs
oil change
cambelt change
oil cooler

discs and pads seem ok, maybe tracking is out a bit as it pulls to the left a bit??  have 3 fairly new tyres, 1 is 3 days old
im sure i had a transmission fluid dipstick on my senator but cant see one on here??

are these the most important things to do.

Hi Richierich, Cambelt is the priority on your list mate, needs doing every 40.000 miles without fail.

i cant afford the cambelt change until im back at work earning again. hopefully next week, but i dont think i could tackle that to be honest, maybe the oil cooler if i have a manual with me but the rest isnt a prob, i used to help my dad when young on his senator so learnt a fair bit. is there anyway i can tel tell if its been done or not, or due to mileage should i have it done  with all the rest.

I can only agree with this.  If it hasn't been done, you risk writing the car off.

well i thought that the oil cooler is one of the parts that needs renewing every so many miles. ? not so then

Hi there,

If you're confidant enough to attempt the oil cooler then the Cambelt will be a doddle.  You've got the right sized engine for the DVD available on here - and as others has said "cambelt first" - this should be your top priority on your list of things to do.

No its not a service item.  As long as your coolant is clear and you keep your coolant at 50% mix it should be fine.

You need  to beg or borrow a cam locking kit though to do it.
