I've noticed that though the system seems to function perfectly 99% of the time, I get a very occasional stutter (the kind of jump you get when you're running out of petrol). Only noticed it twice in 400 miles but since the system is now 6 years old I thought probably worth having it checked over anyway.

Is there anyone on here would be able to have a look over in exchange for some beer tokens?

Alternatively does anyone have any recommendations as to where to take for a routine service?

It probably depends what system is installed, as most LPG specialists have systems that they like and systems they won't touch. (odd really, you don't get tyre dealers saying "oooh! I don't do Dunlops, mate").

Has the problem occurred in similar circumstances both times (RPM, load, cold / warm / warming up)? Might be a little tweak to the map required however, the system could probably do with having the vapouriser cleaned and the filter changed by now.

What is your LPG system?

I'm having mine serviced due to a couple of niggles and its also 6 years old - though had a new vaporiser 2.5 yrs ago.

It's a BRC system with Stako tank. It came with a 10 year warranty 9in 2002) but I suspect its not been looked at since then and I'm assuming there is some routine servicing that should be done on them!

Supposed to be serviced annually according to the guys in London that did mine when it had a problem.
Mines a BRC too. ;)

Had mine looked by the excellent guys at autogas2000 in York.  Glad I did, as it needed a new gas diaphragm in the vaporiser, the pressure resetting.

Also the fuel map was all over the place!  They have a rolling road, so we quickly set the right values.

It now is neck and neck with petrol upto 5000rpm, but unfortunately lpg power starts to die off, especially after 5500rpm....at the limit of the lpg fuelling map.  Only options are bigger injector nozzles or a new sequential front end.

We then went on the road, and checked the map in real time.  I had a big flat spot at 1500-2000rpm.  We found this to be fuel to be injected at the same time as LPG!!!  Instantly cured whilst on the road. Awesome.

Car is now superb to drive :)    And economy up too :) :)
