v6 coolant leak
« on: 27 March 2008, 09:49:27 »

my 1998 2.5v6 cdx estate as developed a coolant leak and it is hard to pinpoint it. The local garage as taken a look, pressurised the cooling system to force water out of the leak and seem to think it is coming from under the manifold and suspesct either the oil cooler, heater bypass valve or associated plumbing. They have quoted £250 for stripping and putting back together plus cost of any parts. Does this sound fair ? Is anyone on the forum living in south yorkshire willing to quote for this job ? any help much appreciated, thanks  :( :(
